Project 01 - Terrigal Boardwalk Timber Handrail
A labour of love & precision. The curved blue-gum top rail was designed to sit atop stainless-steel balustrades. The huge profile was machined and honed to architects specifications leaving a lasting impression on this iconic project.

Project 02 - Glenorie Barnhouse
Shed to barn style accommodation conversion in beautiful Glenorie. Timber cladding was added to the existing structure externally with new custom made timber windows crafted by Peter. New roof sheeting, gutters and capping was installed to complete the exterior. Internally, new walls, celings, flooring and a kitchenette was completed.
Project 03 - Shangri-La Hotel Sydney
As part of the refurbishment of this luxury hotel, A Cut Above was engaged to complete timber screening, timber wall cladding and new door openings. Peter and his team delivered a high-quality result for the builder and were proud to leave a mark on this Sydney institution.
Project 04 - Broke Guest House
Renovation of cottage-style guest accommodation in the picturesque Broke region of the Hunter Valley by A Cut Above Joinery. New kitchen, flooring and v-groove paneling was added to the living space and bedroom. The bathroom was given a complete upgrade with timber flooring continuing into the space.
Project 05 - Pitt Town Residence
New decking around pool with new cabana structure supported by red gum structural timber posts. Installed by A Cut Above Joinery for a private client.
Project 06 - Queenscliff Architectural Door
New 6m x 2.2m western red cedar pivot hinge door made and installed by A Cut Above for luxury Queenscliff residence.
ABOUT US
Peter has been working is a carpenter for over 40 years and has worked on high-end commercial projects as a Project Manager and has a wealth of experience in the residential space, helping homeowners bring their vision to life. Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, horses and yellow labrador on his off days.
Kyle works along side Peter and brings a wealth of knowledge through his 10 years experience in carpentry and extensive home renovations and passion for restoring old homes. Kyle enjoys restoring cars in his spare time and spending time with family when he is not on the tools.
